The ContrOligo PolyA RNA Standards Kit provides a complete set of chemically synthesized poly(A) RNA oligonucleotides for use as analytical reference standards in RNA characterization workflows. The kit includes one unit each of six defined lengths — 40A, 60A, 80A, 100A, 120A, and 140A — enabling size marker and method development for HPLC, mass spectrometry, and fragment analyzer workflows across a range of poly(A) sizes in a single purchase.

The ContrOligo PolyA RNA Standard is a chemically synthesized poly(A) RNA oligonucleotide of defined length, intended for use as an analytical reference standard.

This standard is designed primarily for HPLC calibration and mass spectrometry calibration in RNA analytical workflows. The 10 nmole format is ideal for HPLC applications, while the 2 nmole format is well-suited for mass spectrometry applications.

Yes. The ContrOligo PolyA RNA Standard is available individually in 40A, 60A, 80A, 100A, 120A, and 140A lengths. A full kit containing all six sizes is also available.

We recommend storing the standard at -20°C or below. To minimize freeze-thaw cycles, reconstitute and aliquot into single-use quantities on first use.

The ContrOligo PolyA Standard was assessed for its identity and purity by TriLink’s QC team. An IPRP-LCMS method confirmed the target mass (± 5 Da) while AX HPLC was utilized to determine the purity (≥ 90%).

The extinction coefficients for each ContrOligo™ PolyA RNA Standard length, calculated by the nearest-neighbor method, are provided below. Use these values with the Beer-Lambert law (A = ε × c × l) to calculate molar concentration from the absorbance at 260 nm.
